LIGHT AND TEXTURE

For scenes, lighting effects are very important as the various types of lighting can bring out the atmosphere you need. In ue you can change the colour of the light to achieve this, but I first experimented with my initial lighting plan in maya and found that it didn’t work well and the overhead space had to be sealed off, which was a challenge for my skills.

So in the end I opted for a cracked valley, but even then some areas were not illuminated, such as the two large statues at the entrance. And for the material, it was a challenge to choose the right material, I wanted a worn sand coloured stone material for my large statue, which was mostly right, but in the end there seemed to be some reflections, which looked unnatural, and I may need to spend some time fixing that later. The material of the mountain stones needs to be darker to accentuate the white temple material and the overall end result may be better. However, the archway in the very middle seems to be yellowish in colour.
