FIRST TWO WEEKS

I chose Final Fantasy, based on my previous learning experience and knowledge, I started with two sets of about thirty fashion and object graphic understandings, as the latest fashion and design objects are very simple but highly recognisable in their graphic structure and can be extended from a simple structure to more designs. I have selected three games from the FF series, 7, 13 and 14, to carry out a design analysis and select the right ones to bring in from the fashion graphic understanding based on the design analysis.

Both 7 and 13 have very modern designs, the difference being that 7 uses some armour and cold weapons to incorporate advanced technological structures, such as the protagonist’s greatsword and Sephiroth’s shoulder armour, while 13’s design uses some traditional decorations to piece together a modern fashion look. Both games use modern fashions as a base, with the difference being that 7’s design is darker overall and 13’s is very vibrant.
14, on the other hand, because of the worldview, the differences in regions affect the style of the design, and there are even regions where both 7 and 13’s designs carry over into them. So I mainly circled the regions and costumes of the characters in Ishugard and Gridania, but equally referenced Yanxia and Lunar when selecting characters for depth of design.

I’ve played FF14 before and was very interested in the subhuman design, and my current character is a rabbit. But the wolf subhumans in the Yanxia region are very specific, so I wondered if I could make a wolf or fox subhuman, because the Yanxia region is a great blend of Eastern cultures, and the canine family that has more influence in the East than the wolf is the fox. And because of the worldview all the races will appear all over the world, so I decided to create a fox healer/mage.
